Lyrics
Love Letters In The Sand
Pat Boone
Words by Nick and Charles Kenny and Music by J. Fred Coots
-the # 11 song in the 1955-1959 rock era
-was # 1 for 7 weeks in 1957
-was also a # 6 hit in 1931 for Ted Black
On a day like today
We passed the time away
Writing love letters in the sand
How you laughed when I cried
Each time I saw the tide
Take our love letters from the sand
CHORUS
You made a vow that you would ever be true
But somehow that vow meant nothing to you
Now my broken heart aches
With every wave that breaks
Over love letters in the sand
Now my broken heart aches
With every wave that breaks
Over love letters in the sand
