Lyrics
[Intro]
Take this job and shove it too
Where the sun don't never shine
[Verse 1]
This ain't the first job I ever quit
And I know it won't be my last
Paycheck- Who knows? After today
You may be a thing of the past
I'm so tired of working like a dog
There's gotta be a better way
Bills, hell if I thought about bills
I'd've never had the nerve to say...
[Chorus]
Take this job and shove it too
Where the sun don't never shine
There's been a lot of things troublin' me
And It's time to get em off my mind
There ain't no job so important
That a man can't leave it behind
So you can take this job and shove it too
Where the sun don't never shine
[Guitar Solo/Organ Solo]
[Verse 2]
This old breweries batten me down
It's the same thing beer after beer
Foreman? That's sure some promotion
They should've named me fool of the year
I've lost more than a couple of friends
I'd've much rather gotten a raise
Boss, hell I don't wanna be boss
Working these people like slaves
[Chorus]
Take this job and shove it too
Where the sun don't never shine
There's been a lot of things troublin' me
And It's time to get em off my mind
There ain't no job so important
That a man can't leave it behind
So you can take this job and stick it
Where the sun don't never shine
[Outro]
There, I've said it!
Take this job and shove it too
Where the sun don't never shine
[Verse 1]
This ain't the first job I ever quit
And I know it won't be my last
Paycheck- Who knows? After today
